Anyone have success with UMA and Ibahn hotel wifi network?

Hey Guys,

I'm in a hotel right now that is using Ibahn (http://www.ibahn.com/) as there WiFi provider.

My laptop connects to the wifi fine, and I use IE to 'agree to terms of use' and connect fine.

on my 8320, i connect to the wifi fine, but i can't use the 'Wi-Fi Hotspot Login' bookmark to 'agree to terms of use'. The error msg i get from the bb browser is: "a problem occurred while trying to render the page" and "the returned page had no content type, and therefore cannot be processed."

I have done the same steps at numerous hotspot locations, with little problems.

any suggestions?
 
Yeah try going to options within you BB browser. Browser configurations> then scroll down to Emulation MOde> there should be some options there if you are currently using blackberry try switching to Microsoft IE!!! lets us know whats up!!!

One more thing, try using Opera!
 
Opera is using the cellular network to render pages, i'm not sure how to force it to use the WiFi connection like the ''Wi-Fi Hotspot Login" bookmark on the BB does.

After changing the emulation mode to IE under the Wi-Fi browser configuration - the new error message is "Unable to find the requested server."
 
Well thats weird! Oh try this even better sorry I should have thought about this!

Main menu > options > Advanced Options> Browser> Default browser configuration > then pick wi fi browser! try that!!! I hope that works for you man!

After that go back and try it all over again the log in and everything!!!
 
Hey well I mean thats weird. I attend a university and there we have wifi access all over campus. I turn on wifi on my 8320 due to poor signal quality in many of the buildings and it picks it up right away. all I have to do is go to the blackberry browser type in a page, it will automatically redirect me and then I login and boom im on UMA and wifi for data!
