Anyone have any idea when the n76 will be out in the US?

Motorolla v6? I'm not a big fan of them... I just never liked them that much. So are you saying it wont be out for a while?

I doubt we will see a formal US release anytime soon...or at all. It's a quadband phone though so it's compatible with cingy or tmob when europe releases it. Should be a few months. Maybe sooner the way phones keep coming out! ....aside from the N95 and N75

Wirelessly posted (ThE JuKEbOx: T-Mobile Dash Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; Smartphone; 320x240))

it should be out by may 07 mostly since it's scheduled for a Q1 07 release.

lol...It sounds like you really want a FP1 dont you? I noticed you asking this about another phone. Yes, N76 is FP1!

Not me, its for my dad. He gave me his N73 because he couldn't read the thing.

I figure the N76, 6290 or 6110 would be good for him. N95 has way too many features he would never use. Really disappointed about the N75 though. I would have switched to Cingular for it.

Man, are you serious? Normally I'd hate to start sh?t, but you're being downright ignorant for the sake of trying to get people riled up. Personally I've been a long-time fan of the RAZR's form factor, but I love me some Symbian -- I've long said that the first company to combine both into a single package would win my heart and potentially my dollars. Nokia's doing it with the N76, which makes it a winner to me.

I suppose Moto has that RIZR thing with UIQ on it, but personally I'd much rather have a Nokia flip with S60 and the RAZR's looks. Too bad the N76 is missing WiFi, or it'd be a must-buy fo' sho.

I'm gonna be diplomatic, don't want another ban.....

S60 users don't tend to be part of the "trendy, flashy, cool" crowd....
which is the target audience for the RAZR crowd....

I despised people asking me if my 6260 was a new kind of RAZR, I would be homicidal if I possessed the N76....

the only way I would get an N76 is if it is released many moons before the 6290....

right now, the E65 has caught my attention....

I am getting anxious.......

Heh, I suppose I feel that a little.

Awhile back during a vicious snowstorm, some friends and I walked over to Waffle House because we wanted food and it was the only restaurant in town open (seriously, Colorado was shut the hell down). Nothing against Waffle House fans, but we all think it's just kind of a trashy and gross place to eat. The place was packed of course, and we finally got seated -- all the while I was texting Google on my E70 for phone numbers of any and all other restaurants we could think of to see if anyone else was open.

The waiter came over to our table, and he was a complete walking stereotype. Bucked teeth, heavy southern drawl. I'm still texting on my E70 at this point trying desperately to find another place open. We told him we needed some more time to think, and then he looks at my E70 and asks:

"Awww coo-uhl! Is that one-uh dem Sahhhhdkicks? Mah brother has one-uh those, it's like a compyooter!"
"No. This is not a Sidekick."
"Awww, well take yer time guys!"

And as if by some miracle spawned by a higher power, the next place I called was a nice local burger joint a few blocks away that we all liked. They were open and serving, so we bolted for the door leaving Sahhhdkick Brother and his team of gumshoe waffle-serving associates to assist other clients.

The moral of my long-winded story is that you can't be too worried about what the local assclowns are going to think your high-dollar awesomephone is. I'd guess that 9 out of 10 people think all phones are more or less the same, with the only difference being whether it was "built by Verizon, Sprint, Cingular, or T-Mobile".

If someone sees my new N76 and compliments me on "that cool rayzor-phone", I'll just smile politely, say "thanks, it was built by Catherine Zeta-Jones and her ragtag crew of phone elves!", and walk away.

It is not like some people care what others say about their phones or what assumptions are made, the only people that do want attention and are most likely 14. I personally hate human interaction with strangers outside of the context of work or school. I just hate answering stupid questions and if a phone seems to have the potential to spawn a boatlaod of stupid questions i would naturally think twice.

besides feature pack 1, this phone seems like a direct, although 4 years late, response to the razr. It may have symbian and the nokia branding but it looks so much like a razr from the pictures that i just could not get over it.
