My boyfriend of 3 years is currently in basic training for the Navy (he graduates August 14th). I miss him terribly and I have a feeling that it's only going to get worse from here, because he really wants to make the Navy a career so obviously that means 20 years.
I love him so much and I support him in his decision 110%. I'm so proud of him for making such a sacrifice. I just know that it's going to be so hard not being able to see him very often and not knowing when I'll be able to talk to him.
Does anyone have any advice? I would never consider leaving him for this reason, I just want to know how others cope with their loved one being gone for long periods of time.
