Anyone got MMS or WAP working on their Helio Oceans yet?

I wouldn't bank much on it ever happening. If it does happen, it's because some programmer who is experienced with that phone as well as cellular technologies wrote a program to handle it.

:O

really? Hmmm speaking of the cricket internet service, how is it now? A couple of months ago everything was blocked off. Anyone bypass that yet?

There are no blocked ports, it is protocols that are blocked.

We must use an http proxy, and therefore, only http/https traffic (traffic==protocol) is allowed, All other protocols (such as those used by POP3, SMTP, FTP, RDP, TCP, UDP) are blocked.

Fortunately lots of things can be made to work through an http proxy.

so you're saying I could connect to my web server on port 88? it is much easier from a techical standpoint (and much more processor efficient) to block ports than to statefully block protocals. I haven't tried this yet tho, so this is an interesting idea. I'll have to test this out.

Edit: it's really kindof irrelevant my original point was that there are differing definitions of OPEN. You can connect to web sites (no specific sites are blocked AFAIK), you pretty much cannot use it for email applications and other things which i include in my definition of internet.
