Anyone Good with Ford Cars What is the hard to solve problem?
2000 Ford Contour SE 4 cylinder ABS -- front wheel drive....when I accelerate pass 50 mph OR when I'm coming to a stop the left side starts to vibrate, sometimes I can hear & feel something grinding in the pedals if I'm just driving on the street...
-
I have changed the
tires with new tires, resurface rotors - brake pads, motor mounts, transmission mounts with new parts.
- just recently had CV half shaft & wheel bearing on the left side changed , and that made the vibration more noticeable...
-
Now if i turn the wheel all the way left and drive -- it makes this grinding metal vs.metal, or cranking (kinda loud), but the cv shaft and wheel bearing (with wheel bearing grease) have been replaced with new parts.
I have been trying to figure out this problem since 2007 .....Anyone Know what the problem is here?

I have asked this before but didn't really get answers...
no smart answers or insults. I need to fix this problem before it leaves me stuck on the freeway, I'm guessing inner shaft that's in the transmission that connects to the cv joint could be the problem?...every time i drive the car, I start thinking that wheel will just fly off...

have you at all checked the right side to see if there might be a problem with that side at all.Noise and vibration travels from side to side front to back back to front.Check the back also there might be something on one side or the other that also could be possibly causing the problem on the rear and traveling to the front if your not hearing it from the from the drivers seat. One thing you could do is have someone along side of you and drive in a circle to the left a few times and to the other side a few times left and then right and repeat it.Have the person stand there in the circle to listen for the noise but you might want to do it at different speeds while driving the circle until the problem [email protected]
