which is exactly the reason why using Java support for a phone OS is generally bad for income. Just look at the Linux world. Linux is open source as is the bulk of programs made to run on it. With open source comes free apps galore. I'm personally a big fan of Linux, however at the moment M$ holds the market when it comes to video gaming and related stuff that relies heavily on Direct X, not to mention that when it comes to hacking/modding a CDMA phone, Windows once again is the way to go in terms of applications that can be used.
Not everyone is out there to make money on their apps and there are undoubtedly many free Java applications out there designed to run on a Motorola Razr v3m (and others). Personally I've not looked into it since VZW is stuck with crappy BREW. Besides, with the tiny screen on the Razr and lack of a full keyboard, there's not any point in having applications on it in the first place. VZ Nav for one would be a pain in the arse on this phone.
