I have a touch on Cricket but i got a customer who wants it for verizon.... how does that work???

Do i have to set the spc to 0s and manually program it??

what about the MEID part??

They still won't accept the ESN. I tried 3 days ago and have been trying since Nov 2007. The issue isn't getting the phone to *228 and see VzW towers. QPST will handle all that (SPC etc) and I made a custom VzW ROM the same week I posted my Cricket Touch ROM. Verizon doesn't offer the phone yet and they refuse to add the ESN to their Device Management Database (DMD) because they have no other phone they can register it to. Unless you've figured out how to clone which is illegal there's no way AFAIK to do it. Verizon is rumored to have the phone soon though. I have it from a good source that they are showing the beginning stages of inputting the phone model and holsters related to the phone in their database.

If you figure out prior to the release I'd love to know because I have customers waiting patiently as well. See my posts over at PDAPhoneHome and in the Verizon section of HoFo about this.

Verizon has always taken foriegn ESN's. certain call centers are able to overide the foriegn esn if you convince them the phone says verizon all over it and it really should be able to go on there and you don't know why noone will do it for you and your mad becuase you paid a lot of monies for it on ebays and.... unlike sprint who generally refuses flat out to take anything not in their system.

You used to be correct. Then they locked down the network. Now they are working on reopening it. Its not a technical issue. It is a red tape issue. Only field techs or engineers can add to the DMD (Device Management Database). Currently they are not allowing it. If you know how please by all means share the wealth because I've been trying for ages and I know enough people at Verizon who are decently high up who have tried for me and its not the first time I've talked people in/out of things in tech support but I've had no luck.

Berry got it done once but every other phone I've seen including Telus and Bell Touch ROMs have a locked nvm folder. Well..I'll leave it at that because we can't talk more about that anyways.

Speaking of which--I forgot to ever mention that I thought the power shorted out on the device when I plugged it into my computer one of those times. I thought it was toast until I realized that only the battery had fallen out because I had the battery cover to access the memory card slot. I had to soft reset a couple times, but it eventually booted-up.

I think it was around this time that I got access to do the ___ .

But I'm not about to risk bricking the device to find out.

i'm not sure how much more you want me to tell you. I've already said to call support to add it. I know for a fact that several Cricket SLVR's were activated on Verizon in preperation for a certain upcoming market launch for use by Cricket employees.
