Hey, I was wondering...
Has anyone else noticed that their anxiety symptoms worsen with poor sleeping habits?

I've personally noticed that when I don't get at least 7 hours of sleep at night, or if I have to go to bed late and wake up early, then I always feel anxious, restless, jittery for like the entire day! I don't know what it is!

But on days that I've gotten adequate rest, I've gone to bed early, or I've been able to sleep in that day, I'm soooo calm and at ease the rest of the day. My skin looks better, my thoughts are clearer, and I don't have any anxious butterflies in my stomach.

That's why I'm making a conscious effort to go to bed at a more reasonable time these days.

Does anyone know why this is? What is the correlation between sleep and anxiety levels?

Oh yes, when I am tired I definitely feel more vulnerable to anxiety!
No doubt about it.

Yes, and it makes sense. I've been troubled by this a lot lately, as the primary causes of my anxiety are the nasty health problems I've been having, which also worsen without a good night's sleep.
