I have a 2007 Mercury Mariner & when it's cool outside my gas pedal will stick, causing me to have to more or less stomp on the gas to get it to budge & I'm worried that one time there will be ice on the road and I'll spin out because I have to stomp on the gas. I called my dealership & they told me this is normal..?! Maybe for a Ford..

don't worry it's not just ur car. my boyfriend has a 1998 Chevy Monty Carlo and his does that too but not just when it's cool outside. his gas pedal will just randomly stick and he has to stomp on it to get it to come up. it's pretty scary, we almost wrecked once on an off ramp because it stuck and he couldn't get slowed down around the curve. luckily he veered over just enough and we made it around the corner. i don't know y ur dealership would've told u it's normal because i just don't see how something so dangerous could be normal but it's not just Fords.
