Anyone Experience Court Martial for the Military? Just curious to what might happen

to my Husband... HELP!!!? My husband was getting over paid for about 8 months, Due to an error on the Military's end. When your married, you get money for housing, When we moved on base here in Cali they were suppose to take it away but I guess my hubby didnt understand that til now. So we were getting the same paychecks as normal.

Well we moved again and they saw we were getting the housing money still and they are making us pay them back.
Ok.. Thats understandable.
Now he is getting Court Martialed for Larceny.
Does anyone know what might happen?
He had no idea he was getting paid wrong plus they are taking payments out of his check every month to pay it back.

If anyone has any idea, please let me know. Any advice would help.

Ok so I found out that he was getting the BAH since bootcamp, He didnt realize that it was BAH and thought it was his normal check since I was living with my parents while he was in Bootcamp, we never used that BAH.

So we moved, and Apparently, my hubby doesnt listen, but they were stopping the BAH cuz we got a place on base. They never stopped it but it didnt phase us cuz it was the same paycheck as always.

He didnt bring it to anyones attention cuz there was no change in the pay. So I see how its his fault. But its more of a misunderstanding I think.
 
They made the error.......but did he bring it their attention? Drawing the funds while living on base and not reporting it.

He is done. How could he NOT know he was being over paid?

if your husband brought it to ANYONES attention while he was being overpaid then he's in the clear, since he tried to take care of the problem. only reason why its going to court martial is becaues of the amount, they'll probably drop it when they see that he's paying it all back
 
wow are you SURE that is what he is being done for, it seems they made the error, you are paying it back, so where did the court martial come from.................think you might not be getting the whole story to be honest..

Has he been to jag ??
 
Your husband is going to get a bad conduct discharge and is going to go to prison.

No one will believe the story that you did not know you were being paid to much.

Everyone in the military knows how much they are supposed to be paid.
