there ARE people who test for mold. as far as dust mites, not sure. the trick is to clean bedding often, at least once a week, remove all unnecessary furniture from your bedroom,mop floors often, window coverings are best if not cloth. cleaning is the key. vacuum your soft furniture, couch etc. since you are having major problem perhaps you could get a steam cleaner to do a good cleaning. dust mites are anywhere we are, or our pets as they live on dead skin. i improved greatly when i bought a dust mite water resistant cover for my bed and pillows. i was going to get a mold tester, but simply moved to a newly renovated apartment. love it. NO CARPET here. sore on the feet , but easier to know when its clean, and to keep clean. also, i have read that there are products, powders?...that you can buy if you have carpets. you sprinkle it on the carpet to inhibit? or kill? the dust mites. if you have pets, you will need to bathe them as well, often.
