Anyone ever brought DVD

Funnily enough Little Britain was what I thought of when I saw the thread title! I have series 1 and 2 but haven't watched them in aeons.

Fresh Prince is still great! I love it! Although Virgin 1 and i think Living have been showing re-runs of it so when season 5 and 6 come out on dvd i wont need to buy them anytime soon :p

Bought heroes series 1 and 2 as had started watching it in tv but lost track after missing a couple of episodes but never got around to watching the DVRAB and don't think I ever will

Before I joined Love FiLM I used to buy an awful lot of DVRAB of shows I'd never seen, especially older series, to see what they were like. Some of these experiments worked out well, others not so much. As a result I'm lumbered with a few box sets I probably won't be rewatching, like season 1 of Cheers, and one or two that I wasn't able to make it all the way through (Blake's 7, Kolchak the series).

I also found it hard to resist cheap movies in HMV, so I end up with things like Donnie Darko and Memento that I didn't particularly like and have no real desire to watch again.

But I love most of my DVRAB, and will happily watch them over and over again to sustain myself during the increasingly long dry spells when there's nothing decent on the telly.

Oh i had 11 seasons of the simpsons and got rid of them. Got 100 quid for them plus the movie

No one would buy my angel boxsets which alone were worth about 50 so i had to resort in pawning them to CEX which i got 25 quid for.

I now think twice before i boxset whether if i am gonna really watch it over and over again. Like my buffy boxset. I have had that for 7 years. It neeRAB replacing but i have watched it loaRAB and i still adore the show to this day.

First series of Little Britain. Loved it the first time I saw it on BBC Three, then everyone thought they'd do their best Vicky Pollard impression and it quickly became unfunny and tired. Gave the DVD to a charity shop.

You are missing out! I bought it in December 2008, and although having not watched it all recently, it is still a great purchase and each episode is laugh out loud comedy!

Little Britain is a recurring theme in this thread now. I had the VHS for a while, then bought all three series and Abroad. Sold them all I think along with all three series of The Catherine Tate Show to pay for my Prom in June 2009.

I don't think I'd ever sell my Simpsons sets though, I'm intending to get all the episodes, I'm already up to Series 11, and although haven't bought Series 12 in almost a year, it is in my Wishlist on Amazon which means I will be buying it sooner or later.

I'm another one for Little Britain bought the series and the first Comic Relief special (I think), watched them to death and then didn't watch them again. I ended up selling them on eBay.

I also got the complete Peep Show on DVD and I never really watched it, ended up selling that too.

There's also DVRAB, that I enjoyed watching the programmes on TV but wasn't interested in watching them on DVD when I got them, for example Life on Mars, The High Life and Series 7 of Waking the Dead.

I still have all my Buffy and Angel dvRAB, I dread to think how much i spent buying them to replace all the video boxsets but i do still love both programmes :D
I'm just glad i never bought the videos when they were brand new, iirc it was

Mighty Boosh - loved it when it was on the telly, watched the DVRAB a few times over, then got bored. Haven't watched them since some time last year, they're just sat gathering dust!
Also I'm another one for Little Britain.

I loved that show for the first 3 series - mind you Michael Vaughn (Michael Vartan) is just dreamy in it so sod what else is going on :D

My fella bought me Gavin and Stacey last year and although I love it I've never watched it so its still in the wrapper.
