Anyone evade a 6 star wanted level?

I tired using the technique they have on the xbox news, but it doesnt work

here's how i did it.
1. follow this video to get the one man army acheivement, but make sure to steal an armored truck instead of a normal SUV

wait 5 minutes like the video says and continue down the subway until you're on the other island that still is not unlocked at ths point.
now i've only done this once so maybe i just got incredibly lucky, but i doubt it. i could tell cops were everywhere below me but i only got shot at a few times. an army helicopter came around at once, took a few shots at me and blew out a rear tire, but took off pretty quickly after. keep going into the city and be careful not to flip off the tracks because you're dead at that point.
once you're far enough into the city, turn around and start heading back home. now keep in mind it took me 3 tries to get this to work so you might need a couple tries before you get the timing down.
the goal is to escape the wanted bubble right after you've crossed the point on the bridge that triggers the initial 6 star wanted level.
keep in mind once your wanted level is gone, the subway trains kick back in and you're gonna have to dodge them. i was going full speed in the armored truck and hit a train head on, it scared the shit out of me but it didnt take the truck out of commission luckily or i'd have to do it all over again.
unfortunately you dont get an acheivement for this, but whatever. i just wanted to say it was possible.

I have the apt in middle algonquin and this is what I did
go to that child pageant site, then go outside, fuck some people up. I blew up a couple of cop cars and swat trucks, then ran inside with my 6 star wanted level
ran up into my room, and stayed there for 5 minutes. no one came knocking up there and I got the acheivement.

To get "The One Man Army" Achievement get 6 stars... go sit on the train tracks in the middle of the center bridge between the 1st and 2nd island.
OR, if you don't have the second island unlocked. Go sit on the train tracks in the middle of the center bridge between the first and second island. You will get 6 stars for trying to cross the bridge before it's open only you won't get shot at because you go under the cops when you're on the train tracks. Then sit there for 5 minutes.
TIPS:
Take a motorcycle up there so after you get the achievement you can easily out run the cops on the train track since it's an empty road way that goes forever...

I stole a boat and went for a cruise towards the 3rd island that I haven't unlocked. Got 6 stars but kept cruising all the way around the 3rd island and then back down to the first island. There's a beach down that that I ditched the boat on. Carjacked some dude in a SUV and somehow made it to the Pay and Spray. I must have had 6 stars for 20 minutes before I finally got rid of them.
lol i just did this since all my islands are open already... I shot a bunch of them outside the apartment and then went up.
I kept going outside and shooting down the copters for the fun of it but almost died dropping nades on the cops below
Oh and if you go out on the back you can get all the foot cops behind the apartment, then you go out front grab a cop car and haul ass to lose them.
