with backspace? I'm using the latest Yahoo Email app for Android. I downloaded the update yesterday (5-18-2011). It's the absolute latest Yahoo Email Android app not the version with the purple start up screen. I was hoping this new update would have fixed the problem I'm having on my Motorola Xoom, but it hasn’t!
My issue is whenever I am composing a new email, and I make a mistake and hit my Android virtual keyboard backspace key, Yahoo closes my email message and goes back to my Inbox. I then lose my entire email! This happens with both Android 3.0 and the latest Android 3.1 update. It doesn’t happen every single time, but I would say 80% of the time. I was hoping with last week's Honeycomb update & yesterday's Yahoo Email update, this problem would disappear - but no luck. This issue happens on both the Yahoo Android application downloaded from the Google Marketplace and in the Yahoo mobile website version in my Android browser. Unfortunately, Yahoo won't let me access the entire site on my Motorola Xoom, so I can't get around this issue directly in the browser either.
I have resorted to typing my email in notepad app then copying/pasting into my Yahoo email. As you can imagine this is very annoying!
Does anyone else have this problem?
I’m thinking of trying this on Apple Ipod Touch’s browser to see if it’s an Android-specific issue. Another test would be to download a different browser like Firefox or Dophin onto my Xoom and see if the issue is browser-specfic.
