I just followed the link the first poster provided (I'll give a thumbs up too) and it really does look interesting.
Have you ever read "The Wizard of Earthsea" by Ursula K. LeGuin? Identity.
Did you ever see the movie "Memento"? What a ride through strange memories and notes to oneself...
This book looks like it moves along the same lines as the works mentioned above, only most likely it moves constantly, the way a shark must in order to live, huh?
Sometimes we have to read what we wrote years ago and reconcile it with who we are today; sometimes 'Time' is a tricky and slippery slope.
I guess you either follow that link above and use the study guides, or re-read this book for a second go, or both... or read other books first, like the one I mentioned. And you could watch the DVD of 'Memento' too, if you don't mind a high body count.
