I watched it today in IMAX at the Odeon Greenwich...and if that was IMAX, it was seriously poor IMAX.
Everything prior to the film looked pretty sharp and clear, all the logo's etc...but when the film started it looked just...ordinary. Not terrible, probably slightly above average...but for IMAX, really poor. Unfocused, blurred...just not the level of sharpness I was expecting.
I have seen IMAX movies at the Waterloo cinema, and even the IMAX scenes on the blu ray of Dark Knight looked far sharper.
In fact...I wonder of the cinema may have screwed up...
When the trailers started, I found it odd that all of the trailers were for Disney films, kiddie stuff, animated fare etc...it just did not go with that sort of movie at all.
Then it became clear why...when the film started...it was Shrek 4!
And no...I wasn't in the wrong cinema...they showed the wrong film!
Thankfully...they corrected it fairly quickly and put Inception on...but I wonder if they actually put the IMAX version on or not...
