nope, although if you're too far/close to the sensor bar it can be.

try using the sensor bar stand

I own madden, I haven't noticed it... I also have my sensor on the top of my tv.

I have madden on a 42" and it jumps like crazy sometimes...my only guess isim too close.

When I had mine on top of my TV without a stand, it would get jittery at times

I've since then mounted it upside down, under the TV, and it doesn't jittery anymore at all. Picture for reference

even when i sit back...its quite weird...i think it just might be madden though. like i'll go to pick a play and it'll start going all over the place like crazy...then i shake the remote a few times and it goes back to normal.

holy shit thers a stand!? i had to tape mine all ghetto, the top of my LCD slopes down so i had to tape it level.

Yup, that little tiny plastic thing that came with it. I had no clue what it was either, until I decided to research what that and the circular plastic part was. They don't list them on the Wii box, so I searched Nintendo.com and store.nintendo.com

adjust it in the wii settings. there should be something to adjust the sensitivity. dont know how but mine somehow just started going ape shit one day after not touching it and it would only show up on half of the screen, the other half would just make if go wild, changed the sensitivity and it works fine now.
