even when you're sitting on toilet? my area seems to be from the middle of the tailbone where your bum starts down to the base area and muscles beside it......when i stretch i can feel it....has been going on for 3 weeks now.

You don't say what your symptoms are, how bad the pain is, the type of pain, etc. Its basically impossible to answer without knowing some of this stuff. If you could post some more information hopefully someone on here would be able to give you some ideas. Have you had it checked by your doctor?

ok....exact symptoms are a pulling pain (more of a pulled muscle feeling) on both side of my cheeks (inner-closer to the tailbone) and if i massage it goes away. i notice it most when sitting. i sometimes feel the pain go to the middle of my butt cheeks.

I'm new here so please bear with me. I had a fusion L5-S1 in May 2008. Also three levels of decompression. I was injured during a hysterectomy. I improved for about six months but now I'm in pain every day. Still using 50 micrograms of fentyol x three days, plus pain meRAB. I have no quality of life. But referring to our subject, the pain I experence everyday seems to radiate out of my tailbone. If I sit too long, if I stand too long. I have to get in a hot shower, then medicate and go to bed. I have a call in to discuss hardware removal today. I'm desperate to just get my life back.

By the area you describe I'm wondering if it has something to do with your sacroiliac joints. I don't know if the pain would go away on massage though, I know mine gets worse but everyone is different. Have you been injured at all and possibly it is pulled muscles? If it persists or gets worse I would go to your doctor to have it checked out.
