Anyone else find the Shotgun to be totally useless?

I mostly use that MP5 subgun or the AK/AR15.

Shotgun is totally ineffective out past 15 feet and even up close it takes two, sometimes three hits

the long shotgun is fucking AWESOME in multiplayer at med-short range. Sucks in single player though compared to pistol, smg, or ar.

You can rape in multiplayer since you really are mostly trying to kill one dude at a time instead of 15. It fires fast as shit so even at sorta longish range you can saturate your opponent.

I love the shotty,....esp. when you spawn right outside the hospital in the 1st island and people are running out....great.

also it is fun to find a bunch of civilians sitting on a park bench and just mow them down the with shotgun. It is an impressive amount of violence

Shotgun's great for indoor missions, up close and personal. Not so much for other stuff. One or two shots usually take em down, and they're stunned by the first hit that they usually can't fire back.

nothing beats combat shotgun for close range.

i whip it out when i have to do any kind of interior work.

Hell yeah, I love the shotgun, for like close range combat, like when you are in that apt doing a drug deal and the DEA runs in. I fucked up all those dudes with the shotty, only took two or three hits of damage on myself. if you work it right, you can pop people off close range with the shotgun no prob, ten shots, ten bodies.
