I've lived here for almost a year and since I am well brought up middled classed English person, find some things difficult to get my head around.
People arrange to come and view things I am selling, I make plans to be home in time and they don't show up or apologise for not showing up.. nd it has happened more times than I can recall? I sold tons of things in the UK and don't think this ever happened.
I had Australian friends who would make plans then not show, including 3 dinner invites where I had cooked things especially for her and her daughter..
It's very odd. At first I just put it down to a more relaxed ethos, but since missing out on things to fit around other people headlessly I am getting annoyed with it.
