anyone a military dependent and going to school?

I'm a dependant and am receiving my dad's gi bill so they are paying my tuition. But I had heard that they would also give a certain amount of money for home expenses like an apartment or something!anyone know what i'm talking about, have a number to call or something?
 
The BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) portion of the GI Bill benefits is only available to the service member. When the bill is transferred, the BAH portion is not available.
