anybody with vista and LGDownload working??

I got vista on my laptop and after a lot of things i did to it, dont remeraber what made LGdownload work.

Now im trying to have Lgdownload work on my desktop, and everytime i tried to read NV Items it errors out.

i get error 707000

any help will be appreciated

i already got .Net Frameworks working and everything, anyone?????

Doesn't Vista have "Compatibility Mode?". If so, try running it with the Windows 2000/NT 5 credentials.

I think there's also a security setting that limits programs until you tell it otherwise. Check the security settings for the program.

These are just educated guesses.
 
interesting. in for the thread as I sold my xp laptop this morning and was going to install all my programs on the nev vista lappy.

i'll try a few things this morning and see what works and doesnt
 
trust me i am double booting xp on my desktop too. you need a dual core pc to double boot xp or mac on a vista

the problem with that is that you cannot find drivers for components. so thats even worse
 
i had the sam problem u was having and the only solution was to dual boot it i was just lucky that my labtop was a ibm
 
double boot with xp.

you wont be able to find drivers for memory stick adapter, webcam or wifi on a vista pc. so that wont work while double booting

but everything else works fine since you only need the usbs.
 
a little confused double boot like twin op. systems or safe mode? only say safe mode cause you said it wont load any drivers... i dont understand how it worked fine till i tried the env on it i've flipped 2 vx8300s with esn changing but cant get this stupid env to do anything
 
thats not tru... u should be able to find the your drivers for an older model laptop and it will work fine i dualboot peoples pc's all the time.. i never have a problem findin drivers
 
You can get LG Downloader work just fine on vista.
Install program right click on it run as admin, run for server 2000, and disable one other thing in their i forgot. I did it over the weekend on multiple vista machines
