Anybody using the TTS Master Tune?

Well it's time for me to order a tuner and the guy that does my tuning wants me to use the TTS. I used a the SERT on my last bike and liked it. What is your opinion on the TTS? He also told me that you did not have to dyno it, said he could just drive the bike and then make changes?

TTS and SERT (now replaced by SEPST) are basically identical since TTS makes (made) both of them. Some say that they have different features enabled/disabled, but I can't say for sure. The tuner is talking about using v-tune in the TTS to tune without a dyno. If he can do it, you can too... I did. For that matter SEPST has smarttune that does the same thing as the v-tune in TTS but, from what I understand, uses a fob/dongle/whatever to do the data recording instead of you having to carry a laptop in a backpack or whatever to record data.

Hey thanks for the info! The guy that does my tuning doesn't charge me. He worked for Star Racing/G2 Motorsports up until a couple of weeks ago. He does great work. I will check into the SEPST.

Ah, well if he does it for free..... Let him take the chance on wrecking his laptop from the vibes.

It's not a hard thing to do, but you do have to have patience and be willing to take the time to work with the spark tables as the v-tune and smarttune only calibrate the VE tables. Either one is a more than adequate tuning device and I'm sure you would be pleased either way, especially since you like the SERT.

I run SERT and SEPRT (or what ever its called). My tuner is happy with both but the TTS does offer a few extras and if I were to go again thats the way I'd go. If your tuner is any good he wont need any 'start up' maps. He'll just redo them anyway.

If you go SERT or SEPRT, don't rely on a dealer flash download as the final tune. Find a tuner, a reputable one and talk to him (or her), talk shit to find out what they've worked on and what they'll do. Work with them to get the best option for you. The tuner has to be happy and confident with what they are working with. In short if the tuner can tune they can work with SERT, TTS ThunderMax and make all of them as good as they can be for you and how you want your set up.

Now we are talking Harleys here. Dyno's will give you the best result (and a pretty print out to brag about) but my tuner plugs in his data collecter goes for a few rides and works off the print outs, he sets up a riding tune. Cheaper, gives me about 95% of what a dyno will, I'm happy. You want a race bike go dynor, you want a street bike then a data collector in the hands of a good tuner will work just fine.

Now thats only my opinion. Take it for what you will, all depends on how good your tuner is and what gear combo your running.

Thw 2011 ECU does not allow the current TTS interface to "talk" to the bike, thus TTS is working on specialized 2011 software.

BEFORE you buy a TTS or modify your bike anticipating the use of TTS, CALL TTS and verify they have the 2011 software available.

Believe me on this.
