Anybody using the E70-2 ??

my friend was looking at the e70-2 and they had it for $350 on Nokia USA's site, then all of a sudden it jumped to $450. Anyone know the reason for the unexpected price hike?

I think the loudspeaker is adequet, but could be louder. The loudest handset that i've ever owned with the loudspeaker was my old Panasonic Allure from about 8 years ago. Anyone know the best place to get the latest firm ware for E70-2? I'm using a 2GB miniSD to store everything, but sometimes I still get that memory full/ close application thing when i'm web surfing. Quite annoying. I thought the miniSD would fix the memory issue........

The SD card is used for storage, not as RAM. The out of memory error is low RAM.

Latest E70-2 firmware version is 2.0618.07.10 (*#0000# to check). Updates can be gotten via the Nokia Software Updater available at http://www.nokiausa.com/support/software/softwareupdate/1,8838,,00.html

And I'm using Opera Mobile, and haven't seen the insufficient memory error. Well, unless I try opening a 6MB .pdf in Acrobat Reader.

For everybody with trouble here, please see the following article from Steve: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/featu...rd_Edition.php

Understood. Thanks for the firmware link! I really don't know why Nokia didn't anticipate this issue ahead of time as they've basically been churning out series 60 handsets for quite some time now. As for the handset's RAM issue, too bad you couldn't just swap it out like on my laptop. I'm really starting to like the technology of these handsets! These are quite a stretch from my old Motorola StarTac from my Ameritech days...... I belong in a museum......
