Anybody know the best places to backpack (backcountry camping) in and near Indiana?

I'm looking for places where you hike in and are allowed to camp any where you want. Not the car camping or being limited to "designated" campsites. Since I moved to Indiana, i'm having trouble finding some. Anybody know in and around Indiana (Illinois,Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio) where backpacking and backcountry camping is allowed? Thanks!!
