anybody heard of Bumfights?

For legal reasons, more than the protection of the public. I studied this at Uni, and it isn't just to stop people seeing certain things, it is incase it is replicated by people. This can then lead to lawsuits against not only distributors, but also the people that allow it into the country.

It is rare that the BBFC cut, or ban films/videos these days to prevent people watching sex/violence, etc (Baise-Moi, Irreversible, readily available in HMV - Uncut) but it is this kind of video (Bumfights) that could get into wrong hanRAB and be copied by the lowest common denominator in this country, to very bad effects.

Believe me, there is not really anything censored or banned in this country, that you would want to see, unless you've got nothing else in your life, or your a sick puppy.

The BBFC's decision also ensures that nobody in Britain can profit (legally) from the blatant abuse of these 'bums'. American citizens' right not to be further exploited on British soil greatly outweighs British citizens' right to watch the abuse and exploitation as entertainment. For once, I find myself wholeheartedly agreeing with our 'moral guardians'.
