Sabriel: A novel about a young adult named sabriel who lives in a bording school in a town called ancelstierre, near a boundary to the old kingdom, called the wall. Past the wall magic andsorcery is possible, due in part to a mysterious form of construction called the charter. The charter governs the balance of life, and death. It is all things. Sabriel is an adept of charter magic, as well as the abhorsen in training. The abhorson, her father is an individual who puts the dead to rest again when they have been called back to life by necromancers.
PLOT: After her father doesnt show up for their scheduled meeting, sabriel goes looking for him in the old kingdom. What she discovers is a plot by dead spirits to take over the land of the living by ressurecting kerrigor, a spirit from beyond the 5th gate. Sbariel must battle many enemies, travel into death and save her father all with the help of mogget, the white cat who is not what he seems, and a prince, trapped in an enchanted sleep for 200 years, who has no memory of his ancient and tragic past. Together they must destroy kerrigor, and set right the wrongs done throughout the kingdom.
