Anybody else really excited about 'The Princess and the Frog'?

I can't wait to see it:p
I'm really not a fan of all the cgi films that disney do now, where the films are more about the "humour" then the actual story

Don't be embarrassed!

Stand proud and proclaim "I like to watch decent animated movies that don't consist solely of modern references and toilet humour!" ;)

I think it is because it actually reminRAB me of being a child again and how excited I used to get when I saw the Disney credits at the start. :o

I agree with that - naturally, humour has a big place in Disney films but when it's overused they seem to do it at the expense of the film's charm.

I love the Pixars, but they're good in their own right and traditional 'Disney' is, too - a 3D from Pixar and a 2D from Disney on an annual basis would be absolutely fantastic :D

Just got back from seeing the film.

Really enjoyed it and a beautiful film. Some of the artwork was absolutely stunning, the scene with the shadows and the restaurant dream scene stand out for me.

Can't understand the fuss that was made about the "ethnic" angle, didn't make any difference. Just a very good Disney film to be enjoyed by everyone. And great to see songs and some great set pieces that were visually stunning (the fireflies guiding them through the bayou for instance).

Will definitely get it when it comes out on DVD, well worth a second watch.

Yeah it just doesn't seem like a big deal really (especially in light of there having been the first black president initiated a year earlier) - but I guess that's a good thing :)

Just watched it - I enjoyed it even more than I thought I would. I was in tears at the end...

can't believe they killed Ray off, but the bit where you see him with Evangeline at the end was really touching
...

It was actually very unpredictable, too. Louis the aligator was the best...

... the bit where he recalled gatecrashing the showboat actually had me in stitches
:D

My (straight) boyfriend loved this too. A fantastic film, I'm starting to think I enjoyed it even more than Up!

Gotta admit i'm looking forward to this one, :o Have been since it was announced, I think there will be some good classic disney 2d animation now John Lassiter is overseeing it all.
Lucky the wife loves disney films too lol

Oh I can think of 4 Disney Cgi films off the top of my head ;)
