Any1 watching wolf's creek

Yes that torture bit was so awful Rhumbaray

For me the most frightening bit was near the end, when he put the knife into her spine - then he told her what a "head on a stick" was. Wish I could erase it from my mind... eeek.

Well I've managed to see it through to the end. When she lost her fingers I was about to switch off but I'm glad I stuck it out. Will never watch it again though!

thanks Rhumbaray I thought I was being a wuss. For some reason that film has stayed with me. I think its the psychological horror - you imagine yourself into the situation - rather than the gore, thats so terrifying.

Never accept a lift / drink of water from someone!

You said it girl!! Credit to the director, the docu-style shoot is the very reason we're all disturbed by this movie! Sweet dreams & be grateful you didn't watch it again tonight!!

Yep, AKA Switchblade Romance.

Great film, I'd rate it about equal with Wolfe Creek, probably the best 2 horror films of the last few years.

Controversial ending to High Tension, but I really liked it . It doesn't completely work when you really think about it but what the hell .. it still makes you poop your pants :D

Haute Tension is excellent, if you liked the film check out the book Intensity by Dean Koontz, good book. Starts similar but totally different for the rest of the story.

Wolf Creek isn't VERY GORY... but it's still disturbing, very good horror film, want to check out the director's next film Rogue, giant Crocodile apparently, lol.

This is one of the most distubing horrors I have ever seen. With it being based on a true story is even worse:eek:

I think the most distressing part for me was when he sliced her fingers off.

Not because of the gore or anything like that. But because up until that point you still feel she had a chance of getting out of the situation. As soon as her fingers went it felt so bleak and hopeless that I almost felt sick.

It's a brilliantly made film. Excellent in so many ways. But it's unrelenting bleakness makes it hard for me to like it.
It's a very good film, but I can't escape the fact that I don't like it due to how it made me feel at the end. I just felt hollow and empty, and depressed. I'm not sure if that's a good thing for a film to do to me.
I think that gratuitous bleakness in a film makes it extremely hard for me to warm to it if it just makes me feel bleak and miserable without giving me anything else of merit to walk away with.

It's a strange thing where it's a film where I can tell people it is very good, and really well made, and is crafted wonderfully...but at the same time I don't like it.
Usually it's easy, you can often just simply say that a film is crap and you don't like it.
