any way to improve airflow on Ford?

Hey,

I have a 2003 Ford E350 cargo van and when during the summer, mainly when I pull a trailer, the fan in the engine comes on to cool it down. Is there any way to improve the airflow in this vehicle so I dont risk burning the engine up?

keep it full of clean oil and coolant...the end if its not overheating whats the worry?
