Hey guys, i had a 08 cbr 600rr for about half a year n recently sold it. I plan on getting the k9 gsxr 1000. I have been pretty skeptical about getting one but i finally decided to do it. I am a mature rider and dont plan on getting on the gas till im used to the bike. Any tips you guys could give me on riding the 1000? Anything would be helpful, thanks.

you'll find the three position switch a "gimmick" and a waste of time
don't rely on this to make the bike respond
use your ability to control the bike
I'f you are in the uk contact your local police force for bike safe courses or contact your local advanced motorcycle group
mine is TVAM

if your in the uk or the usa sign up for the califonia superbike school

Doesn't look like you should notice any difference in weight. Just go easier on the throttle. Your muscles won't be used to the new torque and hp for a good while. A flick of the wrist on the liter bike will get you into trouble more quickly than on the 600.

Aside from the obvious there are no real tips. It's the next logical step. Take it easy, keep your eyes open, wear your gear and enjoy the ride.
