park an a mountain bike? I have a full suspension mountain bike and want to know if there is a better way of dropping into a pipe without smashing my chain ring into the ledge

if you fancied being a daredevil I guess you could lift the front wheel up slightly as you drop in, then jump the rear wheel, effectively bunny-hopping into the top of the ramp and dropping in that way

you could do a hop with a nose push to drop in on both wheels. or get a bash guard see a bike shop. you can get one that attaches with the big ring or replaces the big ring.
