Something I can argue.? Any suggestions would be great. I was thinking of writing about the assasination of RFK but not sure what the argument would be...
 
if you mean an event 1857-present then here are some good ones

Entering World War I
Civil Rights Movement
Joining the League of Nation(in the end we did not join)
the New Deal
Dropping of the Atomic Bomb
Cold War
Korean War
Vietnam War
Watergate Scandal
The Red Scare
Invasion of Cuba(forgot the name of this opperation)/Cuban Missle Crisis
Napalm and Agent Orange being used during Vietnam War
Funding Mujahadden(sp?) of Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan
War in Iraq(thought I should throw that one in their because I see good arguments for both sides)
Supporting Israel during the cold war
Space Program
