Any suggestions on a Honda Interceptor being my first motorcycle?

I've been wanting a bike for a while now and have read up on the honda interceptor and really like what I've read and seen. And I've had personal testimony from a buddy of mine who is all into motorcycles. Would the Interceptor be a good first bike to get?
 
Probably ok. I'd say the most important considerations have to do with picking a bike that sort of matches up with your inseam length and being able to comfortably balance it. And also to choose a bike that is light enough that if you drop it, you are capable to pick it up. And also to choose a bike that is not too demanding in terms of maintenance intervals. If you find the Honda Interceptor meets these considerations then it may be a good choice.
