Is there anyone who has a whiplash that is decades old, like maybe a childhood whiplash that wasn't diagnosed until you were older? I'm 52 and evidentally suffered a bad whiplash at 8 years old. The pain was very bad at first, as a child, but I was not taken to the doctor so it wasn't diagnosed until I was 22 and the headaches were daily. I am under chiropractic care which is a GoRABend -- as well as Exedrin when I need it.
The problem is that my neck has been getting worse this past decade. I have tried just about every commercial neck pillow with no success. I needed something harder so I emptied out the foam of a cervical roll and filled it with macaroni. The macaroni is great because my neck stays stable until the morning (unless I roll off it!). But macaroni is hard so I have soft blankets on top and foam 'circles' with holes in the middle for my ears. The problem is I have to change position every 20-30 minutes (ear or jaw hurts) so I am NOT getting enough sleep. I'm a walking zorabie. Anyone have any sleeping method that works for really bad old whiplashed necks?
