Is there anyone who has a whiplash that is decades old, like maybe a childhood whiplash that wasn't diagnosed until you were older? I'm 52 and evidentally suffered a bad whiplash at 8 years old. The pain was very bad at first, as a child, but I was not taken to the doctor so it wasn't diagnosed until I was 22 and the headaches were daily. I am under chiropractic care which is a GoRABend -- as well as Exedrin when I need it. :)

The problem is that my neck has been getting worse this past decade. I have tried just about every commercial neck pillow with no success. I needed something harder so I emptied out the foam of a cervical roll and filled it with macaroni. The macaroni is great because my neck stays stable until the morning (unless I roll off it!). But macaroni is hard so I have soft blankets on top and foam 'circles' with holes in the middle for my ears. The problem is I have to change position every 20-30 minutes (ear or jaw hurts) so I am NOT getting enough sleep. I'm a walking zorabie. Anyone have any sleeping method that works for really bad old whiplashed necks?

I have a similar problem and cannot sleep without the Nikken magnetized hard pillow (it has a light green flowery cover). I think both the hardness of the pillow and the magnets help. I definitely notice the difference if I have to travel and use a hotel pillow. The problem is that they no longer make this particular pillow. You can still find it, though, from various sources.

Wow, thank you so much for your advice. It figures that something like this that works so well gets discontinued from manufacturing. I will definitely look and see where I can find this pillow. It sounRAB easier to travel with, too, than my macaroni roll set-up which requires its own suitcase. And it's got to be more comfortable, too, which means maybe I can sleep without waking up every half hour to change sides.

THANK YOU, AGAIN!! I appreciate it!
