Any Saw fans here?

It's funny how many people think of these movies as gory. I know from number 3 on it is, but for the first one, it's about as gory as Seven. Where you're presented with the victim, the trap and the end result yet don't really see anything too bad. For example,
The guy who had to crawl through the razor wire. Your mind fills in the blanks making it worse than it is

Not like Cube 2? Though was a bit weird.

Anyway, I must get the 4th Saw and get them all watched again before the new one.

Just saw the ad in empire for it and it looks interesting.
Someone wearing Jigsaw's face. Though this probably just means someone continuing Jigsaw's work like the other movies, rather than someone physically wearing his face.

I don't like seeing gorey movies, but my brother does tell me the basic gist of the plot. :) I remember when the first one came out, and he came back like: "OMG THEY HAD AN AMBULANCE OUTSIDE AND SOMEONE FAINTED AND SEVERAL PEOPLE RAN OUT".

I think he could have done that for four or whatever hours easily.
Especially when two people are not acting too rationally from the atmosphere and so on. Plus, when the lights went out in one scene, he could have easily moved a bit and moved back into position once the lights came back on, to carry on. Plus if he was a little out, I doubt anyone would notice with everything going on.

I'm sure the makers said they will end it at the 6th movie.

Well he kind of is the anti hero from the first film, he gives ppl the chance to save themselves for crimes and things that they ha ve done, kinda like Kiefer Sutherland in Phonebooth, but obvious with a hell of a lot more gore.

plus in the third one he was kinda dying, so that's why he was getting others to continue his work.

I think the sickest SAW scene (for me anyway)

was in SAW 2, where that woman was thrown into the pit of needles - all those used needles - god that was hard to watch

The opening scene of Saw V sounRAB awesome.

A murderer tied down to a board has to esacpe from the swinging pendulum above him by crushing his hanRAB to dust in vicegrips holding them in place before the pendulum slices him in two.

:D

SAW is brilliant, very gory yes but I love the intelligient, dar, gritty theme to it and the franchise really did invent an intriguing character, the way the traps were set and the tape/video messages were executed very well, although the series has gotten slightly stale the sequels are still better than most of the other horror rubbish thats churned out. SAW was obviously the best (with the most iconic ending), SAW 2 wasnt as good but liked the house set up, SAW 3 was excellent, very graphic, SAW 4 was weaker, SAW 5 was poor with a lack of plot, while SAW 6 was very good in terms of re-boosing the story with Jill and Hoffman. Still gutted Amanda got killed off though
