I recieved a d.w.a.i while in college in a small town in colorado.I got a lawyer and was given 10 days in jail, fined, alcohol classes and community service. The problem is my blood alcohol level was .048 and a d.w.a.i was .05 to .1 then it becomes a d.u.i,do i have any recourse in the fact that i don't feel my attorny did his job.I don't understand how i was guilty when i was 2 thousand's under .05. what can i do about this,it has been many years since it happend.

Did you reread this before posting? It's a little confusing.

What I *think* you're trying to say is that when you were arrested, your BAL was under the legal limit, and the case should have been dismissed.

You say this was many years ago. Is this being on your record affecting your employment, insurance premiums or any aspect of your life? If not, maybe you should let it go.

If you are determined pursue this, do you remember the lawyer's name? Google him or find him through the state bar homepage, and give him a call. He can answer any questions you have, and if you really still feel he was incompetent then complain either to his employer or to the State Bar Association.
