right now i got to decide if im going to jump to sprint for service. Im being offered the galaxy S, however the one thing i dislike is the querty keyboard. Its also a difference i noticed between that and the captivate.

i really want the att one (because i want to talk and surf web at the same time), but i think im willing to sacrifice that for the one on sprint.

im torn because of 2 factors: sprint/cdma vs att/gsm and keeping my number vs new number.

i would like to know the pro of gsm version vs the cdma one, if there is one clearly better.

i want the galaxy S for a while now for att, but ive been offered to get the one on sprint. I can't decide, mostly because i dont know if i want to lose my current number and because i trust sprint around the DC area. I dont like the fact the epic -aka captivate aka galaxy S- has a keyboard.

while a minor issue, i kind of want the multitasking ability -on a call as i google maps to a location,etc- that cdma lacks.

so, what to do?

That is not multitasking. That is the ability of GSM phones to have simultaneous data and voice connections when using 3G. CDMA phones can do multitasking not involving voice and data at the same time.

its complicated. i want to, but my current number is in a FT and i need to place dep on att or go sprint w/o dep and get 23% discount.

im still debating this. is the att version better or not? thats what i want to figure out.

i like at&t as it is but was given the opportunity to have the phone under sprint.

i dont even know if the switch is worth it (coverage,CS,etc) for just the phone. problem i have is the fact that there isnt really any good droid phones on att and i detest the iphone.
