Just went to see The Dark Knight today, at 6pm at the imax screen in the odeon, printworks Manchester. Sat through the movie for 2 hours and 20 minutes when the screen went off and emergency lighting came on! 15 minutes from the end!
After about 5 or 6 minutes of sitting and waiting someone came in and told us to evacuate the building. As we were filing out there were some other customers moaning that this happened the other week as well.
We then had to stand outside for 40 minutes while they clumsily arranged free ticket vouchers- a complete shambles!
Although the inconvenience was annoying, what bothered me most was that I was really enjoying and was engrossed in the movie - and then missed the whole ending. I will now have to sit through 2 hours 20 mins of already seen movie to catch the end!
Am tempted to just wait for the DVD, but would really like to see it now (preferably all in 1 sitting!)
Ps. Please don't reply with what happened at the end of the Dark Knight, I would still like to see it for myself and it may ruin it for others who click on this thread. Thanks.
