CGTV(Casino & Gambling TV) is now available on Channel 274.

Seems to be alot of poker on that channel.

cool. here's to hoping they "unhide" Gol TV on ch. 404 as well. CGTV and Gol TV were put up on Nimiq 2 at the same time back in Nov 1st 2005

... and btw. it's Casino and Gaming TV ;-)

No, no. By no means is BEV going to stop picking-up new programming.
DJ is just saying there is going to be a lot of concentration from BCE on iptv as it is a better investment for the company and makes more sense in the long run. (They can offer more channels without the huge cost of throwing a bir into space) I imagine that eventually anyone who has express-vu will be able to convert their receivers into iptv with BCE (or something similar). IPTV is going to have limitations as well (based on distance from a CO) much as sympatico does, so I cannot see them getting rid of BEV andy time in the near to midrange future.

Nem, who loves the BEV

How many of you actually contact Bell and let them know you would like a channel?

I have contacted them about The Fight Network. That is the only one that interests me that they don't have.

They will never make you change as long as you are happy with what you get.
I am still on the locals only package, with the HDTV free preview.
Well, I have had that HDTV free preview since day one. I pay 20.00 a month, and get all the canadian locals, plus pick up the US channels in HD from both time zones, plus the canadian HD channels for free.
New customers pay 37.00 a month for what I pay 20.00 a month for.
Bell told me as long as I stay in my current package it won't change, but if I change packages, then I have to go to the new rates. I say screw that, and stick with my little package with the free HD channels. I put in basic cable throughout the house for the channels like CNN and A&E that I don't currently get on sat. Still cheaper to have both cable and sat than to upgrade my sat package, and then buy a bunch of extra receivers for all the tv's around the house.

one works ok, the other at 3/4 capacity, and the third one is an old piece of junk that has about half the capacity of the other 2. they may be able to squeeze a few lone normal channels but beyond that no way you'll see something new until they send another big bird up there.

So the downfall here is, you don't get what the competition is offering in channels, and won't get them because of capacity issues with the satellites already in orbit. And if you go a route deemed "illegal" to get what you want then you are a thief. You invest in the satellite company's hardare, and then it is pointless to leave and jump to cable and have this useless hardware sitting around. No point in reselling it because it makes no sense for the buy to buy a used IRD anymore.
Sort of lke look what they have and you ain't gettin it so too bad.
Best thing to happen is that your IRD competely burns out...cannot be brought back to life and then it is useless and you can head to cable.
I want the porn channels..yes I am a degenerate and that is why they have those channels out there. BEV won't carry them and so now what to do.
BCE will now put less resources into BEV and more to IPTV and again, the word is "eventually" it would be integrated into one service. But until then, IPTV will end up offering what BEV doesn;t carry and then what? A miniscule million pissed off BEV customers who are getting the shaft.

I am hoping, use that word loosely, that BEV after this completed card swap will add more channels. Yes I want my Porn, Adult Movies XX Movies whatever you wanna call em. I wanna see Jill kelly, Sydnee Steele, Jenna Haze. And if Rogers, Shaw and Star Choice carry all or some, I seen an ad in The Sun for AOV so they got an advertsising campaign going, I will sub to 2 of them for sure. I have watched Ten, Tenxtsy and Spice in the US on Satellite. And so why can't we have Hustler Canada, Redlight District and AOV on BEV if it is on thier competitors. I know it would dig into thier profit on the Venus PPV but I am not paying for each movie when there is a channel(s) out there that air these movies and others for only $30 for 2 channels a month.
If they don't by July 2006 when my bundle is up, bye bye BEV and back to Rogers after 5 years.

the channel i like to see on bell is pax network, halmark channel, encore starz channels, hope channel, kwgn, all discovery channels, diy channel- do it your self channel.

SO I have pressing issues if i was to be watching a month's worth of porn in a week? Hmm ok what pressing issues would that be?
I m all for the new porn channels to be launched on BEV. I would sub to them for sure..hey I don't mind being looked at as a degenerate. :p :)

WWE 24/7 is a VOD service. Even if BEV wanted to offer WWE 24/7 to its subscribers this couldn't happen. BEV isn't capable of VOD.

FOX News Channel will be free on channel 507 (FOXNC) beginning May 1st until September 1st 2005.

I used to sub to dtv, and quite frankly I got real tired of the crap that they were sending. American TV is far too regulated. Only channel I enjoyed was HBO, and the problem with that they don't air all the movies. No, you have to subscribe to HBO / Cinemax, Showtime / TMC, and Starz / Encore to see all the blockbuster movies that we see on TMN/Movie central here.
When I had directv, in addition to the 49.00 a month that were clipping me for their basic service, I had another 30.00 or so a month for the movie channels, and that was US $.

Now on Bell, I am paying 20.00 a month for basic service (with my HD channels thrown in, as I am grandfathered)
I still get the US movie channels on C band which is cheaper than it was with directv, but I am still forced to subscribe to HBO/MAX/SHOWTIME/STARZ/TMC to get the full selection of movies.
The only reason I still sub, is for HBO / STARZ and Showtime HD channels which I get on the big dish as they are all full time HD channels. (All I watch)
I dropped directv because they forced me to take a channel package before I could get movies, and directv only had 3 HD channels.

Now, if only I could get bell to sell me a 9200 PVR. Now they only rent :(

What about shows like "The sopranos" on network television.
Hell will freeze over before you see sex and violence on over the air network television in the states. Then we have CityTV in Vancouver and Toronto which polute the airwaves with pornography eveny friday night. Then there is showcase. Sure it is a cable channel, but available on basic cable.
Never see that on open cable, or broadcast TV in the states.
