yes it's the standard 128x128 screen but a TFT 16 bit screen.

I'm not sure that we get IM's for the Nokia. Coz, for the Windows Mobile (MPx200) it already has MSN Messenger.
Not sure abt the translator either
 
well i don't know about there but like here all the newer nokias are coming with an instant messenger application for AOL. It's in the main menu after go to, not in the applications menu. My phone doesn't have it tho, i was just wondering if i could get it.

and i hear the 6230 has a translator app in it ;)
 
I am not sure of the software it has. But for a complete hardware review you can go to mobile-review.com and go to the english section there.
