Any new recent good horror film

I warched "Funny Games" a couple of months back and was genuinely disturbed. Added to that the viewer is actually being taunted by the director all the way through.
Watch it and you will know what I mean.

The original version of the Eye was chilling...

If you are looking for a recent horror that pushes boundaries and is genuinely disturbing then check out 'Inside'.... you will have to import it though, as I don't see it getting a release over here.

Just finished watching Quarantine about twenty minutes ago. It was a decent movie. I am interested in the original now though Rec I think it is called. If it is even half as good as the remake starring Jennifer Carpenter, then I will like it. And please dont anyone hit me with the pish that the original is better, not all originals are better than the remakes just because they came first. You know, sometimes, just sometimes, the remake pisses on the original. John Carpenter's The Thing for expample.

A couple of movies I'd recommend:

Eden Lake.
Quarantine.
Dead Set [more of a five part mini series though].

I don't understand why we haven't got Inside yet here in England, America have it so I see no reason for it not to be released here?

My Bloody Valentine 3D was a surprisingly good film.

I was expecting it to be below average, but it surprised me.

It wasn't predictable either.

It was also great in to see it in 3D.

I'd have to say that [REC] is the best of the recent horror films. It was better than Qurantine for some reason.

Maybe something to do with the fact that it was shorter & that fact that it was Spanish adding to the mystique of it.

Well I can hit you with it when it's true, seen both and the original film that came first IS the superior film, but the end is ruined for you now since you saw the remake first... :p

It's rare that a remake is better(I think the Hills Have Eyes remake is superior to Cravens), but it's not impossible, but most of the time the original is better.
