I would love to see the E61 with a 3.2mp cam or higher with the same video capacity as the N93 and upcoming N95. GPS would be nice as I think there is a market for a qwerty Nokia with full multi-media capabilities.
As much as I hate to see it, I'd really like to see a Symbian phone modeled after a WM5 device with a slide out keyboard. I say this because I'd really like to have a much bigger screen, but the proportions of the E70 wouldn't hold if it had the screen of the N73 or even the N95. It'd just be an obnoxious phone.
I guess I'll just get the SU-8W when the N95 rolls arounds.
All I want is a basic E series like the E60 with the new OMAP 2420 processor. I can't get over the speed of the N93. So basically a smaller E60 with the incredibly responsive UI of the N93 and the 3D graphics capability wouldn't hurt either. Even business types need something play with on the subway. I don't care for a camera, but if they put one in there I don't care. Keeping the 416x352 screen would be nice, but I doubt they'd do that.
No doubt the NEXT Eseries will be Symbian 9.2, S60 FP1. So that means no 416x352 screen, unfortunately. As support for it has been dropped, to be replaced by, 320x240/240x320 480x320/320x480 and 640x480/480x640.
Three GOOD resolutions, which'll work in both landscape and portrate mode. Hence the forward slash. Heh.
Gitex is also this month and might be a major launching pad. Nokia dominates the market in the Middle East. 9 months ago, Motorola wasn't even heard of there. It has made some inroads with its new Razr line, but Nokia still rules. The "QBerry" from Motorola doesn't even make it to the store shelfs.
Sorry to sound so dense, but by "slimmer", do you mean from left-to-right, or top-to-bottom? I can't see how it could possibly be the latter AND add a camera.
And if you mean side-to-side....The last thing I'd look for in an e61 replacement is a smaller screen! Looking at the e61, I don't see how they could make it smaller on the sides without shrinking the screen size....
If that's the case, I'll wait for the "new communicator" (the proto drawing that's been going around with an 8125-style body) instead of the e61i.
