I drink a lot of this certain drink(water based). Last night my daughter said it tasted like medicine. My husband and I both tasted it and smelled it and it does smell and taste like a certain over the counter medicine. I have emailed the company. What should I do when they contact me?? Should I have contacted someone else?
I have saved the bottle(most of the drink remaining),but what if it really is this medicine? Should I call the FDA... Should I just give the bottle and contents back to the company?

Did anyone get sick from this drink? Did you go to the hospital? To the doctor? That would constitute damages. Or if anyone in the family were so severely disturbed that they could no longer consume any commercially bottled drink, they could have some kind of post traumatic stress issues. You will need a record of psychiatric treatment to support that type of claim. That is the key to any legal action. The other issue is to preserve the evidence and the chain of evidence. If you can locate a nearby and reputable company that can analyze any substance, then take it with you and personally deliver it to the person who will do the analysis. Oftentimes they can use gas chromatograph spectography to determine the subsances in the liquid. This will cost you but it may be worth it to satisfy the question of what is in the drink. Do this before you deal with the company. Oh . . . and be sure to consult with an attorney who specializes in product liability.
