Anyone who doesn't work going to college is a lazy asshole and has no right to bitch about all their debt when they graduate.
I worked all but one semester while getting my BS in Mech E.
I had the following jobs:
~$12/hr waiting tables (Johnny Rockets)
$7.50/hr making sandwiches at sub shop (ThunderCloud)
$7.75/hr running front desk at YMCA. Sweet gig, allowed me to do homework and workout while "working"
$10/hr working for some old scummy guy who I drove around to estate sales to buy antiques and then would clean them up for him.
$14.50/hr working for the University of Texas Dept of Psychology - For my last two semesters, I got a job working for a neuroscience research professor as a machinist..or "Scientific Instrument Maker". I made him fancy lab gizmos used to look at monkeys who had holes cut in their skulls and windows installed, so you could look at their brains while they were alive.
One time I had to wrench on some monkey's skull who had his threaded stainless steel skull plug seize up.
