Pull My Finger

New member
Just got done cleaning the heck out of my bike after an amazing ride on sunday through the ocala national forest in central florida...100 plus mph corners..the 1098 was rock solid...the ride was for the central florida ducati club...it was a 3 hour ride there and back of pure joy....but the question i had was after detailing my bike today..i noticed the plastic where the front fairing and side fairing connect..right under the head light...the plastics on both fairings are cracked where the screw and rubber piece hold the fairings together...it still screws in fine and seams secure but not sure...obviously buying new farings would do the trick..but thats just 2 small a issue for all that..plus it is hidden...anyone got any expert advice on a fix of some kind??? just thought id ask.

call my guy and maybe take it by...or consult my dealer because they're so good. Do you have enough room to mold/fit a sheet of CF, aluminum or something behind the hole and drill the screwhole through it? Almost like a washer on the inside of the fairing, glued in place, might hold things together nicely. But without seeing it I can't say for sure. I'd do something like that for now then have my body guy get it totally fixed over the winter or whenever you have the time off the bike.
