Any ideas for repeating an image on canvas?

I can do this with stencils, but I'd like other ideas. I want to be able to use the same image over and over. I use oil on canvas, and want to use oils for this. I tried making a rubber stamp, but had no success, just a splodge. I'd prefer no to use any kind of screening. All/any ideas, I'd really appreciate.
 
draw the image on paper, and use praphite paprt to transport onto canvas. you can reuse the drawn paper as much as you like,
