Any ideas for a Microbiology project?

Hi.. i have to do a project for my final semester and am searching for a project to be completed in 3 months, any ideas out there?? like antibacterial, antifungal activity of some plant extracts or something? Any help would be really appreciated...
 
u could research on the advantages of 'nif' genes of nitrogen fixing bacteria as biofertilizers or the genes of Bacillus thuringiensis in production of cotton that make the plant resistant to attack of certain pests.
