I have a 10 month old kitten who desperately wants to go outside. When we got her I told my fiance she would not ever go outside. Now I'm considering letting her out with me on a leash and harness. Well I got her used to the harness but when I put the lead on she becomes one with the floor. How do I get her used to a lead? She hates treats...I've tried every kind I can find, so thats not an option. I hate doing this, but if she wants outside, this is the only way its going to happen. I would greatly appreciate any advice anyone can give me on the topic. I don't know if this helps, but she is a purbred Snow Bengal and almost 7lbs...maybe more now as that was taken three months ago. Also, I'm aware that once she goes outside she will always want to go out, I'm ready to deal with that and there is no possible way she can sneak out as you have to go through two separate doors to get out of our house.
Any ideas and tips on how to train a cat to walk on a leash?
